Spiced Stewed Apple
I used to love this when I was younger, served with custard (although I think mine came from a tin - sorry mum😅) I’m so glad my little one loved this too!
Makes 2 little portions or 1 big portion
- 2 eating apples, peeled and diced
- 20g raisins
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 4 tbsp water (you may need more)
- Optional to serve @sweetfreedomuk caramel sauce and a dollop of yogurt
Add the diced apples, water, cinnamon and raisins to a pan, bring to a simmer, reduce the heat and leave to cook for 15-20 mins with the lid on until the apples are completely soft. If all of the water is absorbed whilst cooking, add another tsp of water (don’t let the pan go completely dry. Once the apples are soft, leave to cool slightly and serve with yogurt and @sweetfreedomuk caramel sauce. For really teeny mouths you can blend the apples once cooked to make a purée.
